The Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy, a training center for MedSpa workers, has updated its Basic training program to allow anyone to apply with only a grade 12 diploma or some form of relevant work experience.

With its recently expanded training programs, the Dermysk Academy helps students to become fully trained, certified, and ready to begin a new career in a MedSpa, in as little as 8 weeks. Graduates will be fully certified in up to a dozen of the most popular MedSpa procedures, such as laser hair and tattoo removal, dermaplaning, and professional acne treatments.
These courses are open to students throughout Canada, and use a hybrid learning system that allows classes to be completed at each student’s own convenience, from anywhere with an internet connection. By placing the majority of the classroom learning online, the Dermysk Academy allows students to train for a new career, without being forced to quit their current occupation.
However, after the online courses are completed, students will be required to attend practical training at a Dermysk Academy location. This hands-on training can be scheduled at any Dermysk Academy across Canada and will provide students with real-world experience working with medical aesthetic tools, procedures, and clients.
Graduates of the Basic training program will be ready to begin a new career working in a MedSpa immediately, or they can return at any time to receive training in more complex techniques. In the updated Advanced course, students can gain certification in procedures such as laser gynecology, stem cell treatments, and Cool Sculpting.
The Dermysk Academy teaches a complete range of medical aesthetic courses that are accessible to all students, including Basic, Advanced, and Master level courses. However, the Academy also provides advanced training that is only available to registered nurses and physicians.
