“As artists, we have a responsibility to address issues that matter and affect people’s lives,” says Jackie J. “‘Not Today, Satan”’ is more than just a song, it’s a call to action, an anthem. When I wrote it, I wanted to state my piece on how I feel about government involvement in women’s rights in America, and highlight the ongoing fight for bodily autonomy against the patriarchy. To do that with honor, I felt the song needed to be half in Spanish, which is when I hit up Morena, and thankfully she said, yes!”

“We wanted to create a music video that not only complements the song but also amplifies its message,” says Morena la Chingona. “Not Today, Satan’ is an expression of our experiences, of our struggles, and triumphs, not only ours, but all women’s. We hope it connects with our audience on a deeper level.”
The ‘Not Today, Satan’ official music video was directed by I Fly Robin, the visionary behind many of Jackie J.’s music videos, and edited by Chris Jan.
The song was produced by Fantom and engineered by Vladimir Belosloudtsev. “Not Today, Satan” is available on all major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more. The official music video can be viewed on YouTube as of August 31st, 2023.
